Investor Request: Cupcake ATM

The Kiki’s Cupcake Delivery Automated Telling Machine (ATM) is a cupcake design and dispensing machine where guests can design a cupcake from the cake base, the icing, to the toppings on the cupcake. The machine can dispense 15 varieties of cupcakes with flavors ranging from red velvet, mocha, cinnamon sugar, king cake, to plain vanilla with five varieties of buttercream icing, and six colors of sugar sprinkles. The ATM can hold up to 760 cupcakes at a time during operating hours from 12:00pm to 23:00.
The ATM would need three positions to be staffed during operating hours:

Cupcake Baker: The baker would be needed to come in two hours before the ATM opens for the day to bake the cupcakes and create the buttercream for the day.Throughout the day, the baker will need to bake to keep with up the par count for each flavor of cupcake and buttercream.

ATM Assistant: The ATM assistant will be positioned next to the ATM during operating hours to assist guests in using the machine and answer any questions about the machine. It will be the job of the assistant to promote the machine to any hotel guests in the lounge.

Runner: The runner’s job is to ensure that the ATM’s supplies are constantly being restocked and to inform the baker of what supplies are needed. The machine will need to be completely restocked with fresh products two to three
times a day. The runner can also assist the ATM assistant or the baker when needed.

Costs
The following is the breakdown for costs of supplies:
Cake Batter: $ 0.40
Buttercream Icing: $ 0.50
Paper Cupcake Wrapper $ 0.10
Sprinkles $ 0.20
Total: $ 1.20
The experience of using the machine, the cost of supplies, plus the cost of staffing the machine is the reasoning behind why we will be charging our guests $6.50 for a cupcake.
Waiver of Liability
Before using the Kiki's Cupcake Delivery ATM, guests must fill out and sign the waiver of liability. Our ATM assistant will ensure that each guest will fill out the form and all children under the age of 12 have an adult with them while using the machine.
